Orbit Hero is a Family Routine & Reward Management Tool designed to help children build consistency, develop positive habits, and learn responsibility through structured daily routines. Our app empowers parents to guide their children's development using progress tracking, motivation systems, and reward logic—all within a safe, family-friendly environment.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your family's data. By using Orbit Hero, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect different types of information depending on whether you are a Parent (Account Holder) or a Child (Profile User).

2.1 Information Collected from Parents (Account Holders)

When you create a parent account, we collect:

• Email Address – Used for account authentication, password recovery, and important service communications.
• Display Name – Used to personalize your experience within the app.
• Device Identifiers – Anonymous device IDs used for app functionality and troubleshooting.

2.2 Information Collected for Child Profiles

Child profiles are created and managed exclusively by the parent account holder. For child profiles, we intentionally limit data collection to non-personally identifiable information (Non-PII) wherever possible:

• Child Name – The child's name as entered by the parent (parents may use a nickname if preferred).
• Age – Used to provide age-appropriate content and features.
• Avatar Selection – Visual customization chosen by the parent or child.
• Task Completion History – Records of completed responsibilities and habits.
• Motivation Statistics – Progress points (XP), achievement badges, streaks, and reward redemption history.

2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not knowingly collect personal contact information (such as home address, phone number, or email address) from children under 13 years of age.

Additionally, we do NOT collect:

• Precise geolocation data
• Photos or videos from the device camera
• Contact lists or address books
• Voice recordings
• Social media account information from children

3. COPPA & GDPR-K Compliance

Orbit Hero is designed with strict compliance to the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States and the General Data Protection Regulation provisions for children (GDPR-K) in the European Union.

3.1 Parental Consent

A child cannot access Orbit Hero without a parent authenticating an account. By creating a child profile within Orbit Hero, the parent or legal guardian provides verifiable consent for the limited collection of their child's information as described in this policy.

The parent account holder acts as the gatekeeper for all child data:

• Only parents can create child profiles
• Only parents can modify account settings
• Only parents can approve reward redemptions
• Children access the app through parent-initiated sessions

3.2 Parental Rights and Controls

Parents maintain full control over their child's data at all times. Through the Parent Dashboard, you have the right to:

• Review all data associated with your child's profile
• Edit your child's name, age, avatar, and other profile information
• Delete individual tasks, rewards, or achievement history
• Delete your child's entire profile permanently
• Export your family's data upon request
• Withdraw consent and terminate data collection at any time

4. How We Use Data

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

4.1 Core App Functionality

• To provide the Motivation System, including tracking habit consistency, calculating progress points, and managing the reward logic.
• To display personalized dashboards showing task completion rates and achievement milestones.
• To synchronize data across devices for seamless family access.

4.2 Communications

• To send push notifications (reminders) regarding daily responsibilities and task deadlines.
• To notify parents of pending reward redemption requests from children.
• To deliver important service announcements, security alerts, or policy updates.

Note: Push notifications can be disabled at any time through your device settings or within the app.

4.3 Service Improvement

• To analyze aggregate, anonymized app usage patterns to improve the user experience (e.g., identifying the most commonly created habit types).
• To identify and fix technical issues or bugs.
• To develop new features that benefit families.

We do NOT use children's data for behavioral advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the core educational and organizational functions of the app.

5. Third-Party Services

Orbit Hero uses the following third-party services to operate:

5.1 Google Firebase

• Firebase Authentication – Securely manages parent account creation and login.
• Cloud Firestore – Stores family data (tasks, rewards, progress) in encrypted databases.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging – Delivers push notifications.

Firebase services are configured to adhere to strict data privacy standards appropriate for family applications. Google Firebase is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

5.2 Google Analytics for Firebase

• Collects anonymized, aggregate usage statistics to help us understand how families use the app.
• We have disabled advertising features and data sharing with Google for advertising purposes.
• Analytics data cannot be used to identify individual children.

These third-party services are contractually obligated to protect your data and are prohibited from using it for their own purposes beyond providing services to Orbit Hero.

6. Advertising Policy

Orbit Hero does NOT display advertisements to children.

Our app is designed as a premium family tool, not an ad-supported platform. We believe children should have a distraction-free environment focused entirely on building positive habits.

8. Data Retention & Deletion

8.1 Retention Period

We retain your family's data for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide you with our services.

8.2 Account Deletion

Parents can delete their entire family account instantly through the app settings. Upon deletion:

• All parent account information is permanently removed
• All child profiles are permanently deleted
• All task history, rewards, and progress data are permanently erased from our servers
• This action is irreversible

Data deletion is typically completed within 30 days, though some information may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before being permanently purged.

8.3 Individual Child Profile Deletion

Parents can delete individual child profiles at any time without deleting the entire family account. This permanently removes all data associated with that specific child.

9. International Data Transfers

Orbit Hero is operated from India. If you are accessing our app from outside India, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries where our servers are located and our databases are operated.

By using Orbit Hero, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries which may have different data protection rules than your country of residence.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by:

• Posting the new Privacy Policy within the app
• Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
• Sending an email notification to parent account holders for material changes
